SEO/GEO Data Analytics

Search reporting stopped being one dashboard. Rankings and impressions still matter, but a growing share of your buyers now asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, or Google AI Overview and never sees a results page. This session teaches your team to read both halves.

The Challenge Brands Face

The demand side goes wrong first. Most teams pick keywords by sorting a spreadsheet on search volume, which tells you how many people ask something and nothing about why they are asking or how close they are to deciding. Two queries with identical volume can sit at opposite ends of the funnel, and a plan that treats them the same wastes half its effort on content nobody was ready for.

The visibility side goes wrong later and hurts more. A team can be losing ground inside AI answers for a full quarter while its Google report looks fine, because nothing in that report measures whether ChatGPT mentions you, cites you, or describes you correctly. Those are three separate outcomes, routinely collapsed into one vague sense of "are we showing up". Until a team can read them apart, it cannot tell a content problem from a citation problem from an accuracy problem.

Why This Matters Now

AI answers and Google rankings have stopped moving together, and the gap between them is where most reporting now fails. A brand can gain share inside AI answers while its impressions fall, or hold its rankings while an engine quietly starts describing it wrong. Reading only one of the two produces confident conclusions from incomplete data.

Our Approach

1

Run the keyword and topic research on your own category

The team does the research in the room rather than watching it. We work through reading intent and funnel stage off the wording of a query — "what is", "best for", "X vs Y", "price" all sit at different distances from a decision — then grouping rows into topic clusters so a pillar page and its supporting pieces get planned together instead of one post at a time.

2

Find where your category answers badly

The highest-value question is not the highest-volume one. It is the one currently answered thinly, generically, or with information two years out of date — and the one where an AI answer hedges because no good source exists yet. We teach how to spot both, because that gap is where a new page has the best odds of being the thing an engine quotes.

3

Read AI-search visibility as four separate questions

Coverage asks whether you appear at all. Accuracy asks whether what the engine says about you is true. Citation asks whether it links your site as the source. Share of voice asks how much of the answer is you versus a competitor. Teams collapse these into one number and then cannot act on it. We also cover the most counter-intuitive thing on the dashboard: a page can rank eighth on Google and still be the source an AI engine quotes, because engines re-rank at the passage level rather than the page level.

What You Receive

A keyword and topic research method the team runs on your category during the session
A way to read intent and funnel stage off a query rather than off search volume
An answer-gap method for finding the questions your category currently answers badly
A guide to AI-search visibility metrics: coverage, accuracy, citation, and share of voice, explained separately
A one-page reference sheet and the session recording

How We Prove Progress

During the optimization period — before conversions fully materialize — these are the metrics we use as proof that the strategy is moving in the right direction.

Who This Is Designed For

This service works best for:

  • SEO and content teams whose reporting stops at rankings and impressions
  • Brands that just started tracking AI-search visibility and cannot interpret it yet
  • Marketers picking keywords from a hunch rather than from intent
  • In-house teams who want to own the GEO reading rather than outsource it

What to Expect

Outcome

A team that can build its own topic plan from research and tell whether AI engines actually picked the work up — without waiting for an agency to interpret it.

Honest Timeline

A half-day to full-day session depending on how much of the research half you want hands-on. We ask for search console and keyword tool access about a week ahead so the exercises use your own category.

Questions About SEO/GEO Data Analytics

What is the difference between SEO analytics and GEO analytics?

SEO analytics measures how your pages perform on Google — rankings, impressions, clicks, and the queries that produced them. GEO analytics measures how AI engines treat your brand — whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Google AI Overview mention you, describe you accurately, cite your site, and how much of the answer is yours versus a competitor. They answer different questions and they do not move together, which is why the training covers both.

Do we need Intura's platform to take this training?

No. The session runs on whatever you already use — your search console, your keyword tool, and manual prompt checks across the AI engines. If you also run Intura's AI visibility tracking we will include it, but the metrics and the reasoning transfer to any tool, because we teach what each number means rather than where the button is.

How do we measure whether AI engines mention our brand?

You run a fixed set of category prompts across the engines on a schedule and score four things separately: whether you appear at all, whether the description is accurate, whether your site is cited as a source, and what proportion of the answer is you rather than a competitor. The important part is keeping the prompt set and the schedule fixed, because a changing prompt set makes movement impossible to interpret. We set both up during the session.

Who should attend?

Whoever owns SEO, plus the content people who act on the research. If your reporting currently stops at rankings and impressions, bring the person who writes that report and the person who decides what gets published next — the value comes from both leaving with the same reading of the same numbers.
