What it does
PII Mask is a Chrome extension that masks personal data in prompts and documents on your device, before they reach ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. PII Mask finds eleven kinds of personal data: names, national ID numbers (NIK), tax IDs (NPWP), passports, phones, emails, addresses, bank accounts, card numbers, IP addresses and dates of birth. Paste a prompt or upload a TXT, Markdown, CSV, PDF or DOCX file, and each value becomes a numbered placeholder, so "Budi Santoso, 081234567890" becomes "[NAME_1], [PHONE_1]". Paste the AI's reply back and PII Mask restores the original values locally. Names and addresses are found by the Indonesian PII Detector model (DistilBERT, int8 ONNX, a one-time 67 MB download) running inside the browser; formatted numbers are checked by verified patterns. Text and files never leave the device. Bought once, with every update.

How it works
01
Get it once
Buy it here and it is in your library with every update. The model it runs comes with it.
02
Install it in Chrome
Download the extension from your library and add it to Chrome, as the guide below shows. It opens in the side panel.
03
Paste a download key
Create a download key on your account page and paste it into the extension. The key only confirms you own it.
04
Use it on your device
The model downloads once, then runs inside your browser, on your device. What you paste or read is never uploaded.
Chrome extension
Install it in Chrome
The extension comes from your library as a .zip file. Chrome adds it from a folder on your computer; it takes about two minutes.
- 1
Download the .zip
Sign in, open your library and click Download on PII Masking Chrome Extension. You get a file named pii-mask-0.1.0.zip.
- 2
Unzip it
Double-click the file on a Mac, or right-click it and choose Extract All on Windows. Move the folder it makes somewhere it can stay, such as Documents: Chrome runs the extension from that folder.
- 3
Open the Extensions page
In Chrome, type the address below and press Enter, or open the ⋮ menu and choose Extensions, then Manage Extensions.
chrome://extensions - 4
Turn on Developer mode
Switch on Developer mode at the top right of the page. Chrome asks for it to add an extension that is not from the Chrome Web Store.
- 5
Click Load unpacked
Click Load unpacked at the top left and choose the unzipped folder, the one with manifest.json inside. PII Masking Chrome Extension appears as a card on the page.
- 6
Pin it to the toolbar
Click the puzzle-piece icon next to the address bar and pin PII Masking Chrome Extension. Click its icon to open it in the side panel.
- 7
Activate with your download key
Create a download key on your account page, paste it into the extension and click Activate. The key only confirms you own it.
- 8
Download the model once
Click Download model. It is a one-time download; after that the model runs on your device.
Keep the folder: moving or deleting it removes the extension from Chrome.
Updating to a new version
When a new version is in your library, download and unzip it, replace the files in your old folder with the new ones, then click the reload arrow on the extension's card in chrome://extensions. Your download key and the model stay.
