Quick Start Guide
Intura helps your brand show up when people search using AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity — think of it as SEO, but for AI. This guide walks you through seven steps to get your workspace set up and your first AI visibility insights running. Each step builds on the one before it, so follow the order when you are getting started.
Explore Your Dashboard
Go to dashboard.intura.co and sign in with Google or your email & password. The Dashboard is your home base inside Intura — everything happening in your workspace, at a glance.
- Look at the four cards at the top — Open Tasks, Website Audits, AI Visibility Audits, and Knowledge Assets.
- Use the time filter at the top right (last 7 / 30 / 90 days) to change the date range you are viewing.
- Brand new? You can jump straight into "Run website audit" or "Run AI visibility audit" — but we recommend setting up your Knowledge Profile first.
Tip
Your Dashboard updates as you complete each step — come back any time to check your progress.
Create Your Knowledge Profile
Your Knowledge Profile is like a bio for your brand: who you are, what you offer, and who your competitors are. Intura uses it to make your audits and content more accurate — it is the most important thing to set up first.
- Click "Knowledge Profile" in the left sidebar, then "+ Add Profile".
- Choose "Start from scratch" (or browse the templates) and pick your profile type: Brand, Creator, Agency, or Media.
- Click "Draft with AI" and fill in three fields: your brand or creator name, a short description of what you do (optional), and your website (optional).
- Click "Generate draft" — Intura writes your profile in about 30 seconds.
- Read through the draft, edit any field directly on the page, then click "Create" in the top right corner.
Tip
The AI draft is a starting point, not a final answer. Make sure Products & Services and Competitors are accurate — these two fields have the biggest impact on your AI Visibility results later.
Create a Target Audience Persona
A Target Audience persona describes the person your content is meant to reach. Intura uses it to understand what questions your audience types into AI tools — and whether your brand comes up in the answers.
- Click "Target Audience" in the left sidebar, then "+ Add Target Audience".
- Choose "Start from scratch" and pick the relationship type that fits best: Customer, Follower, Reader, Listener, Subscriber, or Other.
- Click "Draft with AI", fill in your brand name, a short description of who this audience is (optional), and your website (optional), then click "Generate draft".
- Review the draft — who they are, their age and role, their goals and pain points, and the questions they are likely to ask AI tools — then click "Save".
Tip
You can create more than one persona — for example one for your main customer and one for a follower or subscriber. Each persona can be linked to a separate audit for more specific results.
Run a Website Audit
The Website Audit is a health check for your site. It scores three things: how well the site is structured for AI tools to read, how strong its SEO is, and how relevant its content is to your Knowledge Profile.
- Click "Website Audit" in the left sidebar, then "+ Audit a website".
- Enter your website URL and, if you like, a short description (for example "First AI readiness check").
- Select your Knowledge Profile — and your Target Audience if you created one — so pages are scored against your brand.
- Click "Start audit". Crawling usually takes a few minutes, and the scores update on screen as it runs.
- When it finishes, work through the three tabs: Next actions (a prioritized fix list), Technical checklist (pass/fail checks), and Pages (a score for every page). After a fix, click "Re-check" on that page — or "Re-run all" to refresh the whole audit.
Tip
Aim for a score of 90 or above — that is what Intura calls AI-ready. Start with the items marked High priority; they make the biggest difference to how AI tools read your pages.
Run an AI Visibility Audit
The AI Visibility Audit finds out whether your brand comes up when people ask AI tools questions about your topic. Intura generates the questions your audience might type into ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity, runs them, and checks whether your brand appears in the answers.
- Click "AI Visibility" in the left sidebar and check that the correct Profile and Audience are shown at the top.
- Wait about a minute while Intura writes questions based on your Knowledge Profile and Target Audience. They arrive grouped into three funnel stages: Discovery (broad, unbranded questions), Consideration (comparison questions), and Decision (questions from people close to choosing).
- Review the questions and toggle off any that do not feel relevant.
- Click "Run active" to start the audit. When it is done, open the Report tab for your results and Next actions for what content to create next.
Tip
The questions are written from your audience's point of view. If one does not sound like something your customer would actually type into an AI tool, edit it or delete it before you run the audit.
Set Up an Automation
Automations are scheduled tasks that run on their own and send you the results. Set one up once and it keeps working for you — for example, writing one piece of AI-optimized content every morning and emailing it to you.
- Click "Automations" in the left sidebar, then "+ New Automation" — or open the Templates tab. Two good starters: "AI Search Answer Content (GEO)" and "Daily TikTok Content Plan".
- Fill in the setup fields: Brief (one sentence on what it should do), Instructions (the rules and format of the output), Knowledge (which Knowledge Profile and Content Guidelines to use), Schedule (how often and at what time), and Delivery (email is the simplest place to start).
- Click "Create" in the top right corner to turn it on. You can toggle it on or off any time from the Automations list.
Tip
Use the same Knowledge Profile in your automation that you used for your audits — it keeps your content consistent with what your brand stands for.
Create Content in Content Studio
Content Studio is where all your content lives in one place — pieces generated by your Automations and anything you write yourself. Create a new piece, ground it in your Knowledge Profile and Content Guidelines, generate a first draft, and polish it with the AI toolbar.
Read the Content Studio guideAudits run in the background
Automations, AI Visibility projects, and Website Audits run asynchronously. After you start one, you can leave the page — the dashboard updates itself as results stream in (anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the task). Each run spends Carrot Points, so you always stay in control of cost.
You Are All Set
